To CrossFit or Not to CrossFit

I haven’t had a chance to hit the gym lately. My newborn son, Orlando has been taking up much of my time.

Yesterday, I had a chance to go to the gym and do a full workout. I could not help but over hear a couple of juice heads bashing CrossFit. I know a lot of the body-building community has a hard time with the CrossFit cult or should I say culture.

Personally, I don’t see what all the hate is about. To break it down into its most simplistic form, CrossFit is metabolic training. Metabolic training is super setting and circuit training, so what’s the big deal?

Most bodybuilders superset, drop set and do some circuit training to prep for competitions.

Oh wait, but they kip when they do pull ups. So fucken what? A kip has a purpose and a technique and it’s very hard to do correctly.

Oh, but people always get injured. Ok and guns kill people. Is it the person or the gun that’s the problem?

Cross done correctly, with the right technique is very beneficial and amazing. But then again, any exercise done correctly and consistently is amazing and beneficial.

Sitting on the couch or at your keyboard doesn’t do shit.

Doing a bunch of bullshit bicep curls may look good but if you can’t walk up a flight of stairs, then the curls aren’t for the girls.

My point is simple, CrossFit is great, bodybuilding is great, hiking is great, swimming is great.

Just get off your ass, get some exercise and live and have fun.

Stop hating, talking shit and wasting your life away.
